Storia

Brunello di MontalcinoOur blend unites 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40 % Petit Verdot, and 20 % Merlot.
The grapes are harvested by hand. The Cabernet and Petit Verdot are fermented together, while the Merlot, which ripens earlier, ferments by its own.

Both fermentations, rigorously temperature-controlled, take place in glass-lined cement vats, with frequent punch-downs. Once the primary and malolactic fermentations are completed, the final blend is made. The blend rests for 12 months in new 225-litre French oak barriques, and another 3 months in concrete vats. The wine is bottled 8 months before it is released.

Deep coloured, winy red leading to ruby red. Lots of unexpected fruits in the nose, mature and intense, compelling and seductive. The palate denotes great structure and wideness, with soothing surprising pleasantness. The tannins are silky and the structure evolved but not tired out. Modern and prompt, a wine to enjoy today or to dream of, but certainly able to age and excel in future.
